Deb Chamberlain, LMHC
For more than ten years, I have worked with children, adults and families in outpatient settings.
I am interested in fostering positive identity in my clinical practice with individuals, families, and couples. My work is guided by a belief that clients need to feel safe enough to explore why they “feel” the way they do, and to help them develop a positive self-regard. As they say, “We can’t heal what we can’t see.” My role in the context of the therapeutic relationship is to help clients “see”.
I have experience with helping individuals address and cope with an array of life challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship and couple issues; childhood disorders, Asperger’s/PDD and ADHD (child and adult). I use a variety of theoretical approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care, DBT, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Sand Tray and Play Therapy.
