Therapy Approach
In the past 10 years of my career as a mental health therapist, I have been granted the opportunity to work in a variety of settings. I have received certified training in multiple modes of therapy including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Enhancement, couples counseling, and group therapies. I am a Spanish speaking therapist and I have also managed a wide variety of mental health issues, dealing with cases in child and adult realms of psychology, from the management of behavioral problems to post-traumatic stress disorder. My approach to therapy is grounded on the belief that clients can change or modify aspects of their life that no longer accurately represent who they are or how they want to be perceived by others. I believe in empowerment, the infinite power of self-help and solution-focused therapy. I work with each individual to modify thinking patterns and find a way to maintain positive self-esteem over the course of their lives regardless of what kind of challenges face them. I believe in the ability to heal, resolve issues and move forward. Always strive for improvement, perfection has not yet been achieved by anyone -Albert Ellis
