I specialize in the treatment of young adults, which usually means college age and young professionals, struggling with depression and anxiety (more specifically anticipation anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks) and issues related to self-esteem, body image, eating issues, self harm, emotion regulation, relationships, transitions, and trauma. My therapy approach depends, of course, on the presenting problem and the goals of the client, but can be psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, solution focused, motivational interviewing, or within a trauma framework. Get to Know:
My approach as a therapist is based on respect, empathy, sensitivity and honesty. I believe in the integration of the mind and body in order to create change, growth and healing. Most importantly, I value your awareness, knowledge and self-insight as an integral part of our work together. I use a dynamic approach to therapy and include cognitive behavioral and mindfulness techniques. At my BETA group practice, I work with clients across a wide range of ages, backgrounds and presenting issues, including depression, anxiety, jealousy, anger, panic, phobias, trauma, relationship/family conflicts and parenting challenges.

I have a specialized background in prenatal/postpartum issues, including miscarriage, abortion, infertility, birth trauma, baby blues and post-partum depression. My therapeutic knowledge in this area is informed by 6 years in the health field working as a birth and post-partum doula, massage therapist and reproductive health researcher.
