Half the battle is realizing the need to talk to someone and to make the necessary steps to a first session with a therapist. This can be a stressful decision for many to find a therapist that fits your individual needs. I recognize the importance of making you feel at ease and helping you to acknowledge your courage in taking those first steps to therapy.
Every person has different needs when it comes to therapy, so I prefer to take a more diversified approach. Gleaning from different ideologies, such as person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, as well as mindfulness-based therapy, I provide a safe place to process life’s challenges and focus on your strengths. Change is a difficult step to make alone; I am here for therapeutic support during your process of gaining insight, recognizing and overcoming obstacles, as well as challenging thoughts and behaviors that no longer serve you as you find new ways of coping.
Through my years of work in the community, I have experience in working with adolescents, adults, and ethnically diverse populations dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, familial issues, relationships, and other mental health issues and life challenges.
